Gaurav Butani

Gaurav Butani works with the rest of the team to develop the SūDā brand identity and entity to conceive new SūDā projects. Gaurav has had a long career in finance and development of new ideas and brands.  He started working in investment banking in 1994 with Fieldstone Private Capital Group, a merchant banking firm headquartered in New York.  He subsequently moved to investment banking at Schroder & Co., a British investment bank. In 2001 he co-founded Davis Creek Partners, a private equity firm  investing in successful consumer brands such as Voss Water of Norway ASA and Face Stockholm, Tory Burch and Naya Water. Gaurav also spearheaded a major investment in the famed Steinway Musical Instruments company, a highly undervalued NYSE listed company leading the way to unlock its real market value yielding substantial returns for the investors.  In 2013, Gaurav launched PIII Real Estate LLC in conjunction with an eminent Italian design company with an iconic reputation, to create branded real estate investment opportunities.  This eventually led to independently creating SūDā, a truly unique approach to developing real estate projects rooted in creating places that have meaning and which give satisfaction and repose to all its stakeholders.

Gaurav received an MBA from the William E. Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester and an undergraduate degree from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi.  Gaurav spent his early formative years at the Doon School in India.
